Nightwhisper’s Riders

The Nightwhisper’s Riders are a band of Stormstrike Palladors, swift and relentless, now bound to the Obsidian Watch after their harrowing ordeal in the depths of Duskwarren. Led by Olorin Nightwhisper, they were once the outriders of the Black Nexus, an Anvilgardian stormkeep that fell during the city’s collapse. Betrayed and abandoned by the Blackscale Coil Syndicate, they were captured and imprisoned beneath Duskwarren’s port, left to rot as their captors turned to darker pursuits. It was only through sheer will and the intervention of the Obsidian Watch that they were freed, emerging from the dungeons as shadows of their former selves but with an unbroken resolve.

Though their imprisonment left scars—both physical and spiritual—the Riders have reclaimed their purpose. Their bond with their Gryph-chargers remains strong, allowing them to range ahead of the Watch, scouting perilous terrain and striking at vulnerable foes. Their time in the dungeons has made them wary of deception and betrayal, and they hold an unshakable hatred for those who would barter souls for power. Olorin himself is a quiet, watchful leader, his once-unshakable confidence tempered by the weight of what they endured.

Despite their grim experiences, the Nightwhisper’s Riders have found kinship within the Obsidian Watch, particularly with Kyros Vrax and his relentless pursuit of lost souls. They serve as the swift blade of the Watch, striking from the mists before vanishing into the darkness, their steeds carrying them between worlds like storm-lit specters. Though their old stormkeep is long gone, they ride on, bound not by duty alone but by vengeance and the hope of reclaiming something of what was lost.
