Littlespark, was once a prosperous settlement nestled in the shade of mountains. The Sons of Magmus, a warband of gargants infused with the volcanic wrath of Aqshy, had trampled its walls, shattered its homes, and left its people as nothing more than crimson stains upon the earth, or worse grappled and stuffed into barrels and bags for later.
The Black Aegis, warriors clad in burnished silver with cloaks as dark as a moonless night, on their quest to find a realmgate drawn by distant screams and wreckage hastily reached what remained of Littlespark. Sworn to deliver vengeance upon the monstrous and the cruel, Elaine Soulsurge led her warriors into the charred remains of Littlespark, their eyes set upon righteous retribution.
The Black Aegis struck swiftly but not swiftly enough, as their charge was not enough to reach the towering hulks. Bracing for a charge, Elaine already commanded a preparation for a counter attack. Thunder shields held the line as long as they could, but the monstrous size and momentum saw them fall one by one, Raelwen remaining to spite the gargants with her spear, gravely wounding one of the giants before falling.
But the gargants were not so easily felled. Harkog, a titan among titans, roared in defiance and led his kin into the fray. With each sweep of his molten axe, brave warriors returned to Azyr. The battle turned into a war of attrition that the Black Aegis was losing. Liberators locked shields and formed a defensive line, holding back the tide of gargant brutality while Tassar and his Aegisbound tried to slay Harkog. One by one, the Sons of Magmus fell, their towering bodies collapsing like burning trees. Yet with each victory, the price was steep. The Black Aegis suffered heavy losses, warriors struck down by bone-shattering blows or crushed beneath the weight of fallen giants.
Harkog was unstoppable, sundering warrior after warrior and cleaving his way to Elaine and her Sentinels. They fought valiantly, but couldn't withstand the onslaught. Lightning scorched the field, until it stopped, every single one of the silver warriors gone. The Sons of Magmus, though victorious on the field, had been broken. Of their warband, only Harkog and Axl remained, their numbers too few to continue their rampage. With low, guttural growls, they retreated into the night, leaving Littlespark silent once more.
The battle ended in bitter stalemate. The Black Aegis had fallen, but their mission was fulfilled—the Sons of Magmus were broken, their strength spent. Unlike the gargants, the Stormcast Eternals would return, reforged in the forges of Azyr, ready to fight once more. Justice had been delivered, vengeance exacted.
