The Maiden

The Maiden was a member of the First. Following the period after the Celestial War, and after the gods had selected the Giants as their chosen race, the Voidborn attacked Tylien, expecting it to be just another easy celestial body to destroy. However, the gods panicked, and ordered the Starchildren to defend the planet at all costs. The fledgeling world would become the site of a massive celestial conflict that continued to snowball until Tultz'ahk engaged in the fighting itself. Desperate, and knowing that victory was either impossible or would only amount to a temporary setback for the Voidborn, the Maiden sacrificed nearly all her power as a First to erect a cosmic barrier that surrounded the planet and it's damaged moon, Fengari, keeping all other space objects out, and everything else in. The Maiden is on Fengari to this very day, an eternal sentinel against the dangers of space.
