Barnabas Ballee is a native to the city of Grembul, and had been raised never having left the area. He was a contracted arena fight coordinator, who would assign fights based on experience and size of the participants. It wasn't until he owed money to a gang after some misplaced bets, that he soon developed the Ballee Gang, to rival his opposition. After an eye opening event, Barnabas became drawn to the God Garagos, and became a Cleric of War under his name and tenants. Soon, Barnabas squashed his competition, and actually enslaved them, giving a boost to the already rampant underground slavery rings in Grembul. Barnabas soon grew war hungry, but was wise enough to hide his gang's intentions through a legal colosseum in the city.
Soon after the construction of the colosseum, Barnabas fell in a fatal attraction with a Half-Orc woman slave he had purchased. The woman soon bore him a daughter, whom he named Zelreene. With his desire for power and a wish to not have his plans foiled through family, Barnabas resented his daughter, but raised her to be a fearsome fighter in the arena.
Zelreene soon found comfort in the Storm God Tempus, who historically had slain Garagos in a different era. Upon finding the holy symbols in her possession, Barnabas grew furious, and stated that she would only worship the true god of war.
Soon, Zelreene met her now husband, the famous arena gladiator Grizz Lee. After, she bore her first named Oli.
Many more years would pass, as the Ballee gang rose in power, and the legal arena that Barnabas owned, began to be used as a front for more crime. A revolt would soon be under way, and Barnabas would lose his arm and fortune, but not before gaining assistance through divine intervention, from Garagos.
Barnabas has since then, left the Ballee Gang to their own devices, in search of a greater means of power to please Garagos. Eventually, Barnabas found his way to Mechanus, where he used his evil ways to procure a mechanical arm, which he then used to successfully travel to Mount Olympus, and begin rising through the ranks of the colosseum there. Soon, he would best Hercules himself in the arena, and begin to carve his own path to becoming the God of War.
