The Blood in the Sand Conflict

War

From when men were first able to record the events of Tre' Drakken, the Blood in the Sand Conflict had been in place. It is an endless battle and struggle between the residents and soldiers of Tre'Drakken and the Wildermen of the west. There are many theories as to why the Wildermen relentlessly grow generations of warriors to continue to attack the city. Some say Tre'Drakken was built on holy grounds, and the Wildermen simply want it back. Others say that the Wildermen are mere savages who lust for blood among the sand dunes. Aside from a plethora of different theories, it is very apparent that this conflict has no evidence of slowing down any time soon.

It is worth noting, the Wildermen have only ever successfully breached the walls of Tre'Drakken twice. In the early beginnings of the city's history, it is legend that the Wildermen were more advanced than their counterparts at the time, and flew over the walls on winged drakes to burn the city to the ground. The second time, was under the rule of a woman named Lady Red-Clay. It is said she united the tribes of natives under one banner, and attacked in the night with an army. Tre'Drakken was unprepared and Lady Red-Clay went down in history as holding the city for a fortnight, before the Dalish Military sent reinforcements and Red-Clay was beheaded for her crimes.
