Background:
Saint Johnson had a rather uninteresting upbringing, his mom was a lawyer and his dad was a construction manager. He grew up in the suburbs and spent a lot of time being tutored so that he could be successful. His good grades and good looks earned him positive attention in high school, he tried to play football but he didn’t have love for the sport. He did however love to workout, he finished two years with the team and then joined a gym. Unknown to Saint this was a bodybuilding gym, he fell in love with attention to detail and love these people paid to their muscles. He would start working to become a trainer very early on and worked hard on his physique while not letting his grades slip. Once he graduated from High school Saint would go on to college to study exercise science. During the summer to muster as much clientele in the area as he could before school he started training people near the campus. One night he was riding his bike home after a late training session and saw a deer crossing the road. He didn't think much of it but he saw a car coming and yelled for it to get out of the way, it turned to look at him like it was confused. He hopped off his bike and pushed the deer out of the road and he was hit by the oncoming car instead. He swore he heard the deer scream “Oh no you poor baby! He’s been hit Oh DEER GOD SOMEBODY HELP HIM! YOU SIT THERE IMA GET HELP” and then ran off as he lost consciousness. He awoke in a hospital with not much more than a few contusions, his brawn seemingly protected him. As he laid there listening to the morning birds chirp he heard “aye he’s up, someone tell the deer the human is up!” startled he hopped up. He started making his way out his hospital room as he saw pale figures walking the hallways. “ We’ve got a live one” one of them says “ I can see his ass cheeks through the little crack in his gown, HE’S got buns of steel, oh if I wasn't dead I woulda had him stir my butter if you know what I mean! WOOH lawd they aint make em like this in my day” another pale figure said. He stared at the pale woman who was ogling him openly and said “Woah woah woah mam please dont, that’s sexual harassment”. The pale figure jumped startled “oh shit he can see us, ABORT” as they scattered. He found a nurse who got him his stuff and let him go. His bike was trashed though and he didn't like ridesharing, so he had to walk home which wasn't too bad. He was able to move pretty well with some pain and went on down the street, when he got near his apartment. There was a family of deer in the park surrounded by squirrels and raccoons and a bunch of other woodland creatures. He stopped to look at this assortment of animals not normally seen out and about during the day taking in the sight. The animals yelled ” Welcome home!” and Saint sat there straight faced, he turned around. “ I'm going back to the hospital, I’m losing my mind” he proclaimed. He started to walk as a deer ran up to him “ you saved me yesterday! You’re a mage right? I've never met a mage!”. He turned to the deer, “mage like merlin? A magician?” he asked. “Precisely” she said back. After communing with animals and spirits Saint would get his foothold and eventually build up to the point where he was seeking more like him. This is the beginning.
