The Southern District is located to the southwest of the empire. It is the least developed region of the empire and is mostly agrarian and rural with some developed city centers. Much of this region's geography is swamps and marshes unsuitable for much of anything besides subsistence agriculture. Even the historically backwards Southern District is increasingly interconnected by modern technology. This region has seen significant growth over the past decades, though it remains the least developed district. Think the Balkan countries such as Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania.
