Description
A long whip made from thick fibers twisted around the center. At the handle the whip appears clean and white, but gradually becomes blackened as it reaches the tip. In darkness, faintly visible runes burn like embers across the handle, and the whip itself appears to burn inside.
Effects
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
When a target is hit with Wicklash, a small spark of fire will burst from where the whip strikes, lighting any oils or flammable materials. Additionally, when you attack a target with this weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, the sparks conflagrate into an explosion, dealing 4d6 extra damage.
History
Wicklash was once wielded by a scholar of Unknown, a once robust library that burned to ashes in a blazing conflagration. The Pageseeker Enshansa recovered the whip at some point, though it eventually left her care and found its way into the hands of Garash the Dealmaker in the Unknown. Garash sold the whip to Ilryn Dewsong at a discounted price, who established it as her pact weapon with Avra, turning the whip's flames purple.
