The Bailors family are known to produce the best shadow puppet theatre in the empire. It is popular across most precincts of the empire and Emperor Haran Seadar wanted to see what all the fuss was about. In true imperial style he built the largest and most opulent shadow theatre in the empire and ordered the Bailor to bring him their greatest shadow theatre company.
If they please the emperor these players may yet grow rich beyond their wildest dreams, displeasure however could mean death.
And it's not just the reaction of the emperor that the players need to worry about. At the back of the theatre is a statue of two waring brothers from the myth of the brothers that were some of the first men on earth who were always fighting until the goddess Zera forced them to make peace, this statue is known to come alive. If it thinks the performance is truly egregious they loudly criticise and boo the play, what's worse is their performance often steal the show, being far more cutting and entertaining than the script being enacted by the shadows.
