As the adventurers sailed toward Saltwind, the group engaged in conversations on deck, while below, Red Flint sought to pray to Mizella, the goddess of Vengeance. Instead of receiving a divine response, he encountered a tall, shadowy entity that shrouded the surroundings in darkness. The figure spoke as if Flint had overstepped, warning him that the abyss belongs to him before vanishing. Disturbed, Flint returned to the deck and informed the others of what had happened. Upon docking in Saltwind, the group dispersed to explore. Rasa Arziki sought out a rowboat and found one at the port. A peculiar merchant offered to sell both a rowboat and a canoe for an exorbitant price. After purchasing them, Rasa quickly realized that the merchant had scammed him—both boats belonged to unsuspecting women preparing to fish.
Meanwhile, Butters P. Nutts attempted to convince the market leader to let him sell his nuts, while Davkas Grosko and Juulia Troski sought approval to sell their fruit. Elsewhere, Rasa and Emberglow tracked down the fake merchant, leading to a frantic chase through the market. After finally cornering him, Rasa forced the scammer into a magical deal with Jif, ensuring that a proper rowboat would be provided. However, Emberglow’s failed attempt to catch the merchant resulted in him stumbling into a table occupied by a group of Red Knights—elite warriors of the Western Kingdom. The session ended as the knights turned their attention toward him.
