Baisora is the Pelagic Host’s god of trade, fortune, and prosperity, widely revered in Farrock, the bustling trade hub of the Arafora Sea. She is depicted as a jolly, full-figured woman with a belly like the rolling tide, often adorned in ornate robes of gold and blue, her hands always open in welcome. Unlike the unpredictable sea gods of wrath and storm, Baisora’s presence brings fair winds, safe harbors, and profitable ventures. She teaches that wealth is like the tide—meant to flow and return. Merchants and sailors pray to her before setting sail, offering the first coin of their trade or spilling a splash of rum into the sea for good fortune. Her temples double as marketplaces and great feasting halls, where deals are struck over laughter and wine. However, her blessings are not freely given. Those who hoard wealth selfishly or cheat their fellow traders risk her turning her favor against them, bringing storms to sink their ships, misfortune in their dealings, or even vanishing wealth overnight.
