Previous Episode: Voyage of the Cursed Dawn - S02 E09
The session began with Davkas Grosko being brought before Captain Amelia inside her private cabin aboard the Imperialist airship. Amelia accused Davkas and the rest of the party of stealing a Piece of Eight that once belonged to her sister, Marella Thorne. She explained that the players had actually been aboard this very ship two days earlier, together with Marella, during the five-day drunken blackout caused by the Vreugdedrank. Marella and the Piece of Eight had both disappeared afterward. The only thing left behind was the small box that once held the coin. Meanwhile below deck, Cain Vaelen lockpicked a restricted cellar door and discovered several small emergency airships stored inside. The group also met another worker aboard the ship named Arnold. At the same time, Rasa Arziki and Juulia Troski explored the upper decks and noticed Jacob Black secretly entering behind a curtain together with several unknown, wealthy-looking individuals, likely nobility or influential passengers.
Before they could investigate further, Mr. Arrow caught the group neglecting their assigned work duties and forced them back below deck, locking them up. The party escaped confinement by using a teleportation spell directly into Captain Amelia’s cabin, reuniting with Davkas. But before the confrontation could continue, the entire ship suddenly shook violently. Outside, a massive dragon was pursuing the airship. Panic spread throughout the vessel. During the chaos, Davkas moved through the decks rallying the mistreated workers and convinced them to stage a mutiny against Captain Amelia. The crew turned against their superiors and demanded the captain be hanged. The dragon attacked the ship, causing catastrophic damage. Amidst the destruction, the players escaped aboard one of the smaller emergency airships with the help of Arnold. But their escape was short-lived. Another airship suddenly appeared beside them. Standing aboard it was Long John Silver, and with him was Abby. Silver demanded the return of the Piece of Eight currently in Juulia’s possession. If they refused, he threatened to throw Abby off the ship. Juulia desperately teleported aboard Silver’s vessel to try and save her, but Long John Silver immediately aimed his pistol at her, preventing any action. Growing impatient, Silver followed through on his threat. He threw Abby from the airship. At the same moment, he ordered his crew to fire upon the players’ small escape vessel. Without hesitation, Rasa leapt from the airship after Abby. Session ends.
