- Gogloth seems to have taken a particular interest in Yrandell, and had set up a base of operations there. The party successfully defeated his simulacrum and freed the surviving test subjects.
- False fateweavers have taken up residence in the city's lower levels.
- Strange, twisted humanoids — former residents, perhaps — wander the city's many avenues.
Yrandell was a prosperous drow city which was besieged — and later destroyed — by combined human and dwarven armies during the (Century War*).
