- (Main Party) Eldusmaal despises the Rot and wants it cleansed from his domain. He seemed supportive of the party's attempts to do the same and offered Onyx a boon should she further the cause.
Eldusmaal (known to most as The Devouring Flame, or simply The Flame) is the primordial dragon of fire and the sworn enemy of The One Who Lurks Beneath the Ice. He, like The One Who Lurks, lies dormant somewhere deep beneath the earth, awaiting the time of prophecy.
Despite the destruction that often follows in his wake, Eldusmaal is not seen as an inherently evil figure in most Ibayan mythology. He is more often regarded as a force of nature and treated with the respect that one might give to a sandstorm or volcanic eruption.
Eldusmaal was last known to be active shortly before the Abyssal Incursions of the (xxxx Age). In a rare show of strategy, he mustered a force of thousands — mostly elementals, but also some dragons and dragonkin — which cut a fiery path through Ibaya. There is some speculation that Eldusmaal intended to pit his forces against the Abyssal armies, though there is little surviving literature to give credence to those claims.
