The creature known only as The Black Shuck (a name given to it by the locals of Zhytsaw for the terrible luck that it brings) inspires dread in its victims long before they see it. It often manifests as a large wolf-like creature with shaggy black fur and whose skull is exposed under rotting flesh.
Those few who survive an encounter with the Black Shuck are rumored to die to suspicious circumstances merely months afterwards.
