Zot is the God of the Sun and Lord of Sunlight, creator of plants, and bringer of harvests. Zot was one of the first Gods to be created and he created the Sun. He was created at the same time as His twin brother, Donere. Zot is often referred to as the Dayking, though this is inaccurate as he does not rule the day, only the Sun. He maintains the orbits of the planets and ensures that the Sun remains lit and gives life. He makes his court in the fiery core of the Sun, a place so hot and turbulent that only He and His angels can withstand it. He is married to Sirda. He is also the lord of healing magic and redemption. The greatest virtues of Zot are compassion, understanding, and mercy, but also strength. Followers of Zot are expected to be skilled warriors to protect the less fortunate, but to also show mercy when possible.
