Donere, often called the Dread King, is the God of Darkness. He created the Underdark. Followers of Donere are typically gifted lycanthropy, becoming able to shift their bodies into beast forms at night. They view monsters as the superior form of life. Donere was cast into the Abyss by Bouwen at the conclusion of the War of the Gods and is believed to reside there still.

Donere is mute and silent, "speaking" by projecting His will into the mind of those He is commanding.
