Located in the mountains, just outside the city of Kardunash on Sethen's Wall, Strixhaven University is the world's preeminent academy renowned for the high quality of its classes and prestigious alumni. The school was founded by Camus Strixhaven in III 707, making it one of the world's oldest active magic schools. Instructors at Strixhaven are called "masters." 

Strixhaven is a mysterious and secretive place, fiercely sequestered from the rest of the world. Its internal goings-on are strictly kept secret and its gates open only to students, except on exceptionally rare occasions. The academy is a source of education in the Magical arts, though this is a niche study in the school now, with most of its academics now focused on secular arts like history and mathematics, while study of magic is more theoretical than focused on training wizards.
