The Great Siege of Meradarath was a major siege of the island city of Meradarath which lasted for five years. During the siege, Sea Lord Adonyah III famously constructed a bridge from the mainland of Yekare to the island itself, a massive engineering feat which took many weeks. Despite this effort however, the city would not fall and the Kardunashi forces would withdrawal following the assassination of Adonyah III by dark magicians hired by the Magister of Meradarath and the Josda'al. Nonetheless, the siege proved the end of Meradaratheen dominance in the coast of Yekare and the city-state would instead turn its efforts towards peaceful cooperation and trade, becoming wealthy, peaceful, and stable even as the rest of the continent strained under war.
