El-Duram

Heavenly Body

El-Duram (Elkari: "Divine Home"), also called the Shattered Moon, El-Kha'beh (Celestialthe "Divine Place Which Has Been Corrupted"), and El-Tovus Celestial: "Divine Place of Tovun"), is the second and smaller moon of El-Bayir. It was governed by Tovun following the Worldshaping, and was home to the Lunarian people before the Worldshaping, who subsequently adopted Tovun as their patron Goddess.

Following the War of the Gods, the Elkari would migrate to El-Duram in great bronze ships to escape the ruin of the Great Flood

Following the War in Heaven, El-Duram was shattered, killing most of the Lunarian and Elkari. However, despite the ruin, some survived. While all of the Vedalken died (as the war had happened on their hemisphere of the moon), the survivng Elkari rebuilt and reattained prosperity. Today, the Elkari remain on El-Duram, taking a dispassionate disinterest from the affairs of El-Bayir.

As it is both shattered and associated with the heretical Tovun, El-Duram is seen as a poor omen by many astrologers and magicians and its worship is associated with dark heresies.

Though Tovun was shattered, a dead god is still a god, and what remains of Her in the deep and exposed heart of El-Duram is said to be a source of unspeakable horrors.
