Marriage is the formal and/or legal union of (usually) two people. The specifics, rituals, processes, and meaning(s) of marriage vary wildly across all cultures.

Nobility

In Feudalism, marriage's main function is the continuation of family bloodlines and the creation of alliances. As such, the vast majority of marriages between nobles in feudal societies are heterosexual in nature, though homosexuality and gay marriage are not frowned upon or illegal in El-Bayir.
