Gebul Affair - Events

The Gebul Affair was a conflict between House Addir and Eshma Tyr following the kidnapping of Himilqo Addir, the young heir of House Addir. Eshma Tyr, the local governor of Gebul, had captured Himilqo intending to keep the boy hostage until he came of age, at which time she intended to marry him to place herself at close proximity to the next Archon of House Addir. When Himilqo was taken on the road by bandits led by Slyfly Jim, his mother Adonyah Addir sought out the Oracle of Kardunash to help her determine how to save her son. The Oracle summoned four adventurers to the city (this impromptu party then picked up J.O. Kingly on the road), who saved the boy and in the process revealed the involvement of Eshma Tyr. This led to House Addir and forces from the Kardunashi Council to attack the town with the assistance of Gebul's captain of the guard Cukrith Yutpari. Following a brief battle, House Addir occupied Gebul and continues to do so to this day.
