A Gulfman Hoplite
The Gulfmen are the natives of the Gulf of Nys and Kingdom of the Gulf.
The Gulf of Nys was the most heavily and firmly controlled Yekari region of the Kardunashi Sea Empire and the influence of Old Kardunash is still strongly seen and felt in these lands. Men at arms of the noble houses of the Gulf still refer to themselves as hoplites and wear distinctive Kardunashi armor styles, such as the linothorax, crested helms, large round shields, and wielding the kopis.
The Blood of Kardunash still runs strong in the Gulf, with even many of the smallfolk displaying classic Kardunashi features of white hair and Golden Eyes. Many and more have more “diluted traits,” with eyes of bright amber or striking hazel and hair of varying tints of pale blond.
