The trail from Gardirennorth to Lorkin via Noron’s Keep. The trail is little used by other than complete idiots and a few veterans known to, and liked by, Noron, a 9 feet tall giant and his sons. The Taelda tribesmen is said not to interfere with travelers on this trail, perhaps by arrangement with Noron.

The Price of Passage:
Accompanying a caravan can bring a traveler the safety of numbers in exchange for a fee. Typical fees are 150d per wagon,
75d per cart, 50d per horse, and 25d if afoot. These may be waived or reduced if the person can work his passage as a guard or useful craftsman.
Each trip risks Noron’s infamous tolls. Traders who are in the giant’s good graces usually pay a single toll per season. Others are subject to his whim and may pay a pittance or may forfeit an entire wagon and its load. Newcomers are on their own when
it comes to negotiating with Noron.
