Azura is the sixth month of the year. It equals September and is the first month of autumn. It is named after the Azure Bowl, which is what Lythians call the stars and the heaven. The term Azure Bowl also refers to a symbol of the god Siem.
This season is dedicated to gathering and preserving. Fields are cleared, grains are threshed, and animals are culled or prepared for winter. Families prepare their homes, store food, and seal windows against the cold. It’s believed that guardian spirits will protect the home if given a portion of the final harvest.
