Session 011 Thay to Harden

• Leaving Lakeil Way Toys, we pass a very high quality gear shop.
• We find Thayan Maps and Tomes. The shop is run by a pair of older Aenarin. At least a dozen cats, one of which is tabby with shades of green. Multi-level. The male Aenarin is Besenid Pathir. Books in different languages, tubes, maps, etc. He pulls out a map labeled Genin Trail. He says it's usually used by caravan masters. It has a city named Olokand. He will sell it to us for 4gp including the case. Rook and Faelon split the cost and hand it over to broke Daddy… I mean Hjalgrimm.
• After shopping, we all head back to the Crown and Apple. As Hjalgrimm enters Lebiras Paril has info for him.
• "The mayor is interested in meeting with us at the palace. One of the parents wants to give a presentation to us, but doesn't want to do so publicly. ASAP to get the child back home. He has something for us."
• Hjalgrimm drinks the 3rd bit for the day from his new mug, then frowns as he realizes that was the last for the day.
• Rook presents the toy swords to Faelon and they discuss the details of finding the swords and the direction 2 men and women went. Diramoan people, who Faelon is hunting. Their clothing is similar to Faelon's as well. Faelon bows a lot in respect.
• We ask Lebiras about horses. They are hard to come by. It would cost us 35gp for the horses. Zareen tries to persuade Lebiras, badly. Askelon pays for Hjalgrimm. Rook throws in 5 gold.
• We went to see the mayor and found out the girl's parents are dead, but she will be taken care of. The boy has a mom, no dad. A female Human comes in, the boy's mom. She has a skillet. She is demure. "I don't have the gratitude to express for bringing back my son. I don't have the means to thank you, but here is an heirloom from my family. My father in law was a chef from Kerejian League (her heritage). My father was a chef on a vessel. He called the skillet Fili du'sef." The bottom started glowing a dull red. She says another word and it gets brighter. more words, more red. She gives the skillet to Zareen. It is magical.
• We hear a convo about a guy willing to pay for us to escort a team to Burzyn. He expects trouble along the way. He offers 5gp per person to do so. Faelon says we will do it for 4 if we leave in the next hour. Hjalgrimm says we have a contact awaiting our arrival.
• We decide to stay the evening and leave in the morning. His name is Rasha Ekair. His business is Noloma Merchants. Meet them right after breakfast and he will get us horses.
• When we get to the Crown and Apple, Rasha is talking to the stablemaster.
• Zareen and Faelon stay at the Crown and Apple. Lots of people are at the party. Some from the Gloss Knight.
• Rook is teaching Nyx to "pick pockets." Hjalgrimm is trying to help them remain inconspicuous.
• Nyx Picked a bag with 26gp, 12sp, 5cp, 4 gems @10gp, ring @25gp, bracelet @15gp.
• Rook grabs a jeweled dagger worth 50gp.
• We leave in the morning with our 2 people in tow. Ashkel is a middle-aged Human (also a Lia-Kavair spy for Lebiras) and Benvir is a male Human laborer, about 20. When we arrive in Harden, they tell us they prefer the Lewd Quay. We decide to stay with them.
• The place is very busy. Hjalgrimm notices Gargun weapons and shields hung on the walls. A big bald human head as well. Bee Wayfillgreets us. He is high as a kite. Rook is interested in buying some drugs. He appears to take offense.
