Tumok's Tinctures

Tucked into a busy corner of the Market District, Tumok’s Tinctures is a study in contradictions—meticulously organized on the shelves, yet utterly chaotic in the way its owner moves through it. The shelves are stacked floor to ceiling with neatly arranged glass vials, jars, and flasks, each filled with liquids of every imaginable color. Everything is perfectly cataloged and in its place, yet the labels are written in a jagged, unfamiliar script—Tumok’s birth language—which no one but him can read. To outsiders, the inscriptions look more like arcane scratchings than words.

Despite keeping a perfectly good ladder against the back wall, Tumok himself prefers to scramble up the shelves with his lizard-like grip, moving with startling speed and agility. He darts from one corner of the shop to another, muttering under his breath, climbing sideways along the rafters, and swooping down at odd angles. Customers often find the display unnerving, yet Tumok always seems to know exactly where every potion is stored. With uncanny precision, he will pluck the correct vial from the jumble in a matter of seconds, handing it over with a toothy grin.

The shop is well stocked: healing draughts, antidotes, stamina tonics, flame-breath elixirs, and stranger concoctions whose uses may be dubious at best. Adventurers often stop here before a dangerous venture, and Tumok’s regulars swear he can brew just about anything on request—though it’s never clear whether he’s actually listening when he takes an order, or simply wandering off on his own tangents.

Beneath the erratic energy, Tumok is known for his reliability. He may appear distracted, but his wares are consistent, potent, and often lifesaving. In Lygos, when you need a potion in a hurry, you go to Tumok—and trust that he’ll leap off the shelves with exactly what you didn’t know you needed.
