Race: Brass Dragonborn
Title:
Chief of the Lygos Fire Brigade
Alignment:
Lawful Good
| Brass | Fire | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
Appearance
Chief Bronzewake is a broad-shouldered Brass Dragonborn whose metallic scales are dulled by soot and long hours on the job. His horns curve slightly forward, one chipped at the tip. His fire-resistant leather coat is charred, patched, and custom-fitted for his draconic frame. A heavy fireman's axe, more ceremonial than practical, hangs from a loop on his belt. His amber eyes burn not with fury, but with relentless purpose.
Personality
· Dedicated: He lives for the safety of the city and sleeps at the firehouse more often than at home.
· Blunt but Fair: Has no time for niceties, but earns respect quickly with his gruff integrity.
· Civic Advocate: Known for his frequent appearances before the Assembly, demanding funding for new stations, training, and gear.
· Reluctant Hero: He’s been in dozens of blazes but refuses public praise, insisting it's “just the job.”
· Tirelessly Overworked: The city has grown, but funding has not. His team is stretched thin, and he knows lives are at stake.
Plot Hooks & Player Interaction
· Petition Assistants: He might ask the party to escort him to the Assembly to ensure his speech isn’t interrupted or sabotaged by rival guilds.
· Emergency Rescue: A major blaze or arson attack may require the players to help him evacuate citizens or uncover its cause.
· Firehouse Favor: Help him retrieve smuggled fire-retardant chemicals or repair sabotaged equipment and he might grant party access to maps of city infrastructure or safehouses.
· Underground Fires: He believes there’s something unnatural starting fires in the tunnels beneath Lygos—but the Assembly won’t listen.
Stats (Simplified NPC for Roleplay)

· Aura of Command (flavor): When present, allied civilians or workers nearby gain advantage on saving throws vs. fear or fire-based effects due to his leadership.
