By day, it is a legitimate (though poorly run) business. It serves as a distribution center for grain and rice shipments. By night, it is run by an agent of the Knights of the Shield. The day shift is unaware of the true purposes.
In the foreman's office, a search of the desk reveals:
dusty ledgers
a sack of 10 gold
ink and quills
Loose parchment
an Abacus
A DC 15 investigation check reveals a false bottom drawer. Inside the hidden drawer is a ledger written in Infernal. It has the symbol of the Knights of the Shield printed on the front. It details a few secret deliveries, but also the meeting notes from secret meetings. It is written by Barnaby and shows that he is little more than secretary in the organization. It also reveals the location of the trap door leading to underground lair (must read Infernal).
A DC 16 investigation check reveals a trap door hidden under a crate and palette. This leads to the secret lair. Barnaby and the Orc brothers know the location if you successfully interrogate them.
Dayshift:
Foreman- Melanie Sprig, an overworked Halfling woman. She yells and brow-beats her employees. She may suspect that something's not right, but she's too busy to care.
Laborers: A dozen disgruntled, underpaid workers
Nightshift:
Foreman- Barnaby Mot
Laborers: Tug and Dug, Orc brothers. Actually, they serve as Barnaby's bodyguards.
