The Hawthorne Lumber Company (HLC) was founded by Caribou Jack, an ex-adventurer who wished to settle down. The company is seeking contracts as it gets its foot in the door as a business in the area.
The HLC has done quite well and secured several contracts, including near exclusive shipments to Orlumbor's shipyards. Business was so good, that Jack decided to create an outpost on the island of Alaron. The small village of Lehigh was chosen as a base of operations for the venture on the island.
