A holiday observed by Sirens that mourns both the loss of the Siren’s ancient city, and any flock members lost that year.
From sunset of the day before, to sunset on Thrínos itself, a continual song of sorrow is sung. Sirens in the flock will take it in turns to sing to ensure that the song is continual and unbroken throughout the period. Anyone travelling close to the coast on this day is likely to hear the haunting melodies drifting on the wind from the different flocks that reside across the coastline.
After sunset, this day of mourning transforms into a night of celebrations and hope for the year ahead - their laments are replaced with joyous song, dancing, and games. For this later half of the holiday, nearby Siren flocks may come together to celebrate, forming much larger parties that go on well into the night.
