When an attacker that you can see hits you with a weapon attack, you can use your reaction to parry the attack, gaining 1 charge and reducing the damage taken by 1d6. You can only use this ability if you are not wearing a shield.
The sword can hold up to 5 charges and loses all charges if it hasn't parried an attack for 1 minute. You can expend 1 charge to move up to half your speed as a reaction. Also, on a hit, you may expend any number of charges to deal an extra 1d4 points of force damage per charge.
