After an eventful night in Estalha's local Inn, the party goes to sleep. However, after a couple hours of rest, they are awoken by a terrified scream. Beckham, the Innkeeper, has been found dead on the floor, and it seems poison is the cause. Glabren Marsk, the town blacksmith, has stepped forward and asked the party to figure out who committed the murder and to bring them to justice.
Earlier that night, Beckham Meistra had gotten into a quarrel with Rendood Stenatra, one of the local plantation owners, and Rendood Stenatra had left the tavern in frustration. It is clear that Beckham Meistra was poisoned, so a stop to the Town Alchemist, Xarxus, might also be in order.
