Sea Nymphs are born already developed as amphibious beings, having found their steady biological niche, and change very little with time, preferring to inherit subtler traits that help in particular situations at the time or cater to their prey’s preferences. Many present themselves as females, using seaweeds to simulate hair (or consuming prey that has luscious hair to assimilate) and developing large toxin sacs on their chests to lure in sailors and other unsuspecting prey with seduction. Sirens are often their preferred prey due to many attractive traits to assimilate. Unlike regular nymphs, sea nymphs are more opportunistic and scheming, and consider conquest and dominance more in terms of social weight rather than physical prowess. They are also more social, outgoing, and manipulative than their progenitors.
Their charisma, knowledge of sea routes, and myriad of neurotoxins secure them a place in many criminal underworlds as smugglers, assassins and spies. Those who seek more prestigious hunting grounds become socialites, court sycophants, and advisors.
