The robots - a largely peaceful race have always been long living and everlasting. In their observations of the short lived races, they found peace. In the promise of death, they found comfort. Such robots who were drawn to these negative emotions couldn't but help to want to become members of other races. Whether it be through magical means, or through engineering, it is still not certain, but they created the first examples of the Peeler machine in the years preceding the great war. With it, they were able to remove the skin and meaty bits from any meaty creature unlucky enough to cross their path, and wear it as their own. With this technology, they founded the city Penumbra in the salt flats of the Southern continent, inviting all people of all races to come and live with them (Note, no one actually goes there on their own accord). From the outside, this city looks like a paradise of co-existence, all races living together in harmony. But any who would take a few hours to observe, would understand that it is actually just a puppet show of meat and metal bone. Any who stay for any longer would join the unholy play as part of the equipment.
