Altered humans are as the name implies, humans that have been altered in some way. This often occurs from exposure to NNOs or ENOs, or even contact with a creature from a breach event.
Humans born with extranormal abilities are also classified under altered humans, even if it is "natural".
We have encountered persons exhibiting:
- Enhanced strength
- Limited Telekinesis
- Empathetic taste
- Breathing underwater by use of gills
Only humans born in this reality (or as far as we know) are considered altered. Humans from another reality, enhanced or not, are considered shifted humans.
