Owner and operator of The Shop in Ratwater, the largest pawn shop in town and the only banking institution in the locale.  She is gruff, incredibly blunt, and entirely unwilling to tolerate wasted time, particularly her's.  Grakka has become on of the most reliable sources in Ratwater for acquiring equipment, be it rare items, specialized tools, or goods most merchants either cannot or will not obtain.  Everyone quickly learns, that if something can be found anywhere near ratwater, she is the one who will know where to get it.

Originally a former bandit attempting to escape the brutality of that life, she first established herself in Ratwater long before the settlement grew into a proper frontier town.  With little understanding of formal trade but decades of experience surviving raids, negotiations, ambushes, and scavenging she opened up her pawn shop using whatever goods and coin she could gather.  Through stubborn persistence, practical instincts, and in no small amount of luck she steadily over time expanded her influence there.  When the local "bank" suffered catastrophic financial losses, Grakka was able to purchase the failed operation and directly incorporated it into her existing shop connecting the two buildings into the one all know today.

Though most of the locals simply tolerate her rather than openly liking her, not a single one will question her honesty.  She does not cheat customers, break agreements, or hide behind politeness.  If she gives you her word, she keeps it, regardless of whether others approve of the outcome.  At the same time she has no patience for liars, thieves, manipulators, or anyone attempting to waste her time.  Thanks to this she has frequently found herself at odds with the local guild, who continue to attempt to influence how she operates and consistently fail.

Despite her age, which is ancient by orc standards, Grakka remains physically imposing and more than capable of defending herself as necessary.  Years surviving amongst raiders and frontier violence have left her with little fear of any form of intimidation.  Many suspect she possesses far more combat experience than what she lets on.  While rarely involving herself in local politics or conflicts, her influence within Ratwater remains substantial simply due to necessity.

Grakka herself would likely dismiss any suggestion that she is important to Ratwater, as in her mind she is little more than a survivor who carved out a place where there was no room and little intention of making room for her.  Though, whether or not the rest of Ratwater agrees with that is another matter.
