The Giff are a rigid and militaristic people hailing from the Commonwealth of Giffany on Chordas. Giff seem to have the likeness of a hippo and hold The Hippopotamus as their patron deity. The Giff are exceptionally strong and have tough skin. They are obedient to a fault and adhere to a strict societal hierarchy.
