Lonelywood had one Inn, a tavern and a shop. The speaker, Nimsy Huddle has been known to let travellers stay in her attic (and often bakes them cookies).
- The Inn, (The Ramshackle) has been closed for the last two years, but is in new management.
- The shop is called "The Happy Scrimshander" - a shop specifically for scrimshaw materials.
- The tavern is called "The Lucky Liar" and is full of fishermen and loggers.
The owner of the Inn apparently hung himself, though rumours abound that he was murdered.
