(Requires proficiency in Religion and following a Dominion pantheon god/goddess to know)
It was once said that one of the sources of Highlord Sunvird's power was the gods themselves. Though dismissed as mere legend by many, Dominion clerics have studied this claim over the centuries. Based on relics, ancient records, and religious artwork of eld, it's highly possible that this was indeed true. In fact, they found similar instances of god-like powers being granted onto others in a manner far more powerful than what's given to clerics or paladins. Often the recipients, referred to as Prophets, are given their power from at least one god, though they do not necessarily have to be followers of that god. One example of such an occurrence states that a thief managed to steal a particular item, known as the Chains of Binding, that allowed him to take the power of some nondescript god for himself. Prophets are assumed to have lengthened lifespans as a result of the celestial influence, but a few legends have said that the burden of outliving ones' family and friends often results in seclusion and self-exile. It is unknown if any prophets currently exist.
