We flashed back momentarily in time to view Xael, who over the past few weeks has been changing slowly. He revealed some of his inner turmoil; "We keep killing the same people over and over. Maybe I should be more judgmental less and try not to hurt people as much as I do. Be more like Woodsworth, and more of a healer... ...I know that deep down everyone is doing their best. I will find redemption in people where I may not have before". This newfound mentality has allowed him to wield magic unlike before.

Underground, we surveyed the former checkpoint of Grey Niles, unable to find much more than a few leftover skeletons carrying perfectly polished stones. The atmosphere continued to become more and more tense, occasionally here a loud chant through the caverns. We came upon a larger chamber with a massive pile of rocks atop a strange rock pillar. A tiny being was hiding inside, who named themselves Gnurdin.

Gnurdin is the Saint of Burden, a Lost Saint. They were only cursed with the burden known as the weight of the world. And with this burden, they wished to share it with others.

Through our discussion, we found that Gnurdin was from The World of Seven Days, known as Golarion. He had been here for quite some time, believing himself forever trapped in this World of Fives

He insisted we take the blessing of the burden, but upon our refusal, he madly insisted we take it to the point of pelting us lethally with rocks. We nearly had all of our bones broken between Woodworth and Cleis Frostclaw - but we were able to get Gnurdin to surrender after Ripley discovered how to use the Fragment of Creation (Octahedral Crystallizer) to remove the eternal burdens.

For now, we are hampered, and our journey may take us even longer. But we have discovered a new ally, one who may remember details of the world as it once was - before The Creator was forever banished.
