Goliath

Goliaths a race of humanoids, very physically similar to humans, only much taller, larger, and stronger. They tend to have pale grey skin tones with natural markings on their skin, usually ochre or red in color, that can be easily mistaken for tattoos by the uninitiated. They will sometimes have hair, but tend to have very little in the way of facial or body hair, if any at all.
The tattoo-like markings on the Goliath, what they call their "Birth Signs," are of great spiritual and symbolic importance in the Calakmulan culture of the Great Northern Swamp. To them, these birth signs foretell of the things to come, and what has come in the ancient past. It is said to bear one's future deeds and life, and also record the lineage and deeds of one's ancestors. The Skin Seers are those rare figures in the culture who are supposedly capable of reading these markings with any degree of accuracy.

Goliaths are a race of giantkin, descended from their much larger ancestors, and cousins to the Firbolgs. Their ancestors spent generations inhabiting the northern hills of Arathia, only to be driven multiple times away from their homelands, to eventually end up in the Great Swamp of Arathia. While many goliaths have left the swamp, it remains their current ancestral homeland.
Goliath in Adra tend to live mostly in the Great Northern Swamp of Arathia, but due to how highly their warriors are favored across the world, they have spread to many parts of the world, mostly to Alz Gamora, since the Gamorans have policies that ensure hundreds of fresh recruits from the north come south every year. Still, Goliaths have been found in service to other powerful nations as well, and so can be frequently found in Adra Majoris as well. Families that get enough money to move away from the swamp are often want to do so as well, and so communities of goliath are not unheard of on the frontier, where land is cheap.
