The Reclaimants continued their quiet journey with Umgawesen set as their next destination. As they approached however, they noticed that there were less people on the road than normal, and they could see smoke trails in the sky. They decided to have the caravan wait and they went ahead to see what was happening.
There were war camps outside of the city, filled with orcs trying to siege the gates. Junipher told the party that this looked like a tribe of orcs called the Silver Hands. They were a war band that had been pushed out of the Steppe and were led by Chief Zegdar. They were a brutal tribe and would be unlikely to be open to diplomacy. Leith and Tanythe, still shaken from the fight with the ants, wanted to move on and cross the river and a different location. Aurent felt duty bound to help and Deirdre felt that it would be hypocritical not to help. After much arguing, the group finally agreed to at least try and get inside the gate to offer help where they could.
They moved to a side gate where four orcs were fighting with two guards. The party sprung on them and while the orcs were formidable foes, and quite difficult to kill with their ferocity, the Reclaimants were successful in the end. They moved into the city where they were thanked by Sir Bertrand.
TLDR: Junipher is the leading expert on rogue orc clans, Aurent has better morals than the rest of us, killing orcs sucks.
