23rd of Bonfires
The Reclaimants arrived at Korsal af Yyenefin's estate and were greeted with grandeur and drinks. Adom noticed the intricate globe Korsal possessed that highlighted dwarven settlements and noticed several locations in the Usgaroth Mountains that the group was unaware of: Temlan Mines and The God's Feet. The party enjoyed an extravagant dinner while discussing Korsal's interest in their quest. The Reclaimants were wary to trust Korsal (except for maybe Adom), given what they had heard about Broagdoor's opinions on Drumshiel, but ultimately felt that he could be trusted.
Korsal wished to help the Reclaimants on their quest by providing resources, gold, and troops, as well as being able to provide political influence in Broagdoor. In exchange, he wished to be named a representative of Broagdoor on whatever ruling council the party eventually forms. He wishes for Drumshiel to be successful and hopes that it's refounding will bring back trade in the Underdark. Korsal ensured the party that the underking of Broagdoor was fully in support of this alliance, though some in the party were dubious of this statement.
In their discussions, the party learned a bit more about the landscape surrounding the Usgaroth Mountains. The Three Sisters, a chain of rivers within Saravoa, were formerly the agricultural heart of the kingdom, but were razed by giants in the war. Castle Kurske, which sits in the heart of the Three Sisters, was the former seat of the king and now lies abandoned as it was basically melted by a fire giant (Fozar Oathsworn).
Korsal supported the party's decision to recruit in Saravoa, but warned that they vet their supporters carefully, as some may seek to turn Drumshiel into a human settlement. He also recommended that they seek out the support of Clan Riften, who now live Canae.
At the end of the diner, Korsal was gracious enough to offer the party lodging in spare apartments on his estate, which they enthusiastically accepted.
The party began training, researching, and crafting during their winter in Broagdoor. Surent spent time learning spells, and digging through the university archives to search for new spell scrolls.
Tanythe learned many new crafting recipes and made several elixirs of life, silver sheen, and bottled sunlight to ensure that the party was stocked up for their eventual journey to Saravoa.
Leith spent many days training Beans new and useful combat skills and then spent some time in the archives researching Drumshiel. He discovered information about the Five Point Tower, a massive tower atop the highest peak in the mountains that can hold up to 300 people. He also learned that the Temlan Mines are flush with Mythril and were once leased to various clans in Drumshiel for a period of time (as the original Temlan clan died out centuries ago) before transfered on to a new clan. Finally, he learned that The God's Feet was a flat plynth near mount Vanick and was said to be the last place Oerok's feet touched Adra as he slayed 10,000 dragons. It is a common site for pilgrims and the road from Voligrad to the Tomb of the All Fathers passes through it.
Adom spent some time earning money through various odd jobs. He acted as a hype man for a new ale at the Glittering Anvil, performed in a one man comedy act, and lectured about Lothal at the university (though didn't receive his full payment as he got a little too personal in the lecture).
TLDR: The party gained a powerful (and rich holy shit) ally and started living it up like kings (or at least like rich bureaucrats).
