Scorpion Island is home to the Scorpion Tribe, Hippofilius's adopted family's tribe. Members of this tribe are cursed to transform into Giant Scorpions unless they 'bond' with another non-centaur (usually from Aresia.)
Pholon, one of the Oracle's Chosen's companions, also hails from the Scorpion Tribe and this island.
