Hippofilius - Session 42

Journal
We hurried through narrow streets and alleys, pausing occasionally to smoothly step into shadows as anyone came close. Whoever this agent was, he walked like a predator, smooth economy of motion and always looking for threats or targets.

We slid through shadows into the warehouse district to the south and finally he paused, rapping on a door in a rapid, staccato fashion- no doubt some sort of code, though from within the folds of the cloak it was difficult to follow properly.

A small hatch opened with a grunt. “We’re closed.”

“I have a delivery, I’ll leave it here on the doorstep.” came the smooth reply, before stepping into the alleyway beside the warehouse, dim shadows hiding us once again from view. A slight click and grinding noise came from the floor and what looked like a vent in the street lowered down to form a ramp into the sewers.

As we descended and followed the cool tunnel, the agent was stopped and questioned by a man with a smooth educated voice. He began to describe the questioning we had begun in the bar looking into the Lady of Coins, giving a description of Calliope.

I investigated a few of the tunnels, but felt my control over my wildshape slipping. Slipping from the tunnels, I met back up, first with Helikaon, then with the others.

We considered a diplomatic solution, with Alke sending a message to the Lady, who it seems she has a history with, but being swiftly rebuffed.

With guidance from Braz’ clairvoyance, we came to the only conclusion that we could- with the lady forewarned and this single chance of finding the entrance to their current hidey-hole we had to act quickly.

We gathered our things and set out. Lady, we’re coming for you.
