Getting to the Root of the Problem

I guess it’s part of a god’s purpose to be bafflingly and “inscrutably” (by which I mean so stupid that no-one can see a reason why they’d do it) unhelpful. How Kyrah dared make that jab at me after sending us into what was effectively a completely visible trap for her, knowing as she did the history of Estor Arkelander’s vile actions, I do not know. Even more so, claiming that she told the stories (full of lies!) my younger self loved “to preserve the good memories of the Dragonlords” is just unreasonable - how is anyone supposed to improve or learn if the negative outcome of choices are hidden?

At least we were able to dispose of the apparent source of many of the monstrosities infecting my beloved Oldwoods, albeit at the cost of Alke’s life, temporarily. I must confess I don’t entirely understand this loathing from Lutheria for Alke, she’s a tad inept but I wouldn’t go so far as the unerring hatred she seems to receive… I’m glad Hippofilius was quick to cross-examine her return to check for subterfuge, there’s definitely something odd going on there.
