Damon’s presence at the bridge was all-encompassing - it was almost hard to look past him into the necropolis and take in the eerie scene beyond.
He spoke to Braz about the curse. About its long lineage in history but there was little more to say. However he did give him another direction to follow - the Lotus Witch of Scorpion Island held the key to further information.
Braz was also given a gift, a family heirloom, a stone of brightness. This would brightly light the way forward as his faith in Mytros had once done. Had he really thought that?
It was easy to question the gods and the deeds of the dragonlords as the party explored the necropolis. In this, a tomb dedicated to their glory there was nothing but death and suffering at their hand. The people of Thylea didn't stand a chance under this might.
And then there was Calliope - an empty grave set aside for her seemed to be prominent among the fallen kings and leaders of legend. He shivered at the thought of her being close to these tyrants - it is probably a good thing she had forgotten as much as she had.
After a solemn and respectful tour of the Necropolis it was time - time to claim the effects of the dragonlords and protect the world from Sydon and Lutheria, but as Braz caught a glimpse of his face in the reflection of Helikaon’s blade he began to wonder if they succeeded, would the world need protection from them.
