Vallus had the Antikythera all along! She has brought it to the Ultros here in port. What a joyous piece of mechanics and magic it is as well. Cogs upon cogs, all working in perfect sync, showing us the path to sail the seas, to leave sight of land and travel guided by the constellations. Ten of them are accessible and with Braz’s divination powers and the knowledge of those Vallus has brought to talk to us we have identified where most of them will take us: the Fates, the chimera tormenting the trade routes, an island of fire where legend has it a titan is held captive, Themis.

On that… Moxena is on the ship and has commandeered herself a room. She is adamant we have promised her the throne of Themis. Her cunning is impressive, but she is just a vile ambitious woman who I for one owe nothing to. How could she believe the lives of so many were expendable just for her to get back on a throne that wasn’t hers to begin with? I despise her so much. But I have chosen a room next to hers, to keep an eye on her actions, make sure our refusal to go to Themis doesn’t drive her to some other… measures.

Thankfully, Moxena is not the only one to join us. Other friends and allies will also be on the ship: Kyrah, Pythor, Bulldog… I’ll let the reader decide which ones are friends and which ones are just allies. And Loreus… and I couldn’t be happier! For a second I had considered just suggesting he went back to the safety of the mines. But I can’t bear letting him go now that he’s here. And Calliope will most likely be relieved not to have to bear my daily fondue-y exchanges with him. Hopefully he won’t mind all the random mechanical contraptions I am working on in my room. I’m sure there must be some space on that desk for him too.
