In the climactic showdown, Dervish, Luna, and Rallick launched an all-out assault on the powerful war machine. They fought their way through the ranks of cultists, with Rallick's Slayer skills proving invaluable in incapacitating the tank's barrel. Enraged, the war machine burst out of the rock that had imprisoned it and attempted to run over the assailants. Fortunately, a well-placed explosive destroyed the tank's turret and halted its rampage. However, the explosion triggered a cave collapse, forcing the heroes to make a hasty escape. They found a hangar hatch that led to an unexpected discovery: a spaceship.
As they progressed down the spaceship's hull, they noticed signs of being in actual space, such as zero-gravity zones and breaches in the hull, rather than beneath Souk's surface. During their exploration, they managed to secure some materials and restocked their arsenal to a limited extent. In one of the holding cells, they encountered a tangled mass of skeletons and a mysterious metalloorganic device created by the technocultists. When they examined the device, the skeletons reanimated and pursued the heroes. Quick thinking led the heroes to lure the undead into a hull-breached room and shoot them into the vacuum of space.
Finally, they reached the bridge, where they confronted the "captain" of the vessel. This individual was once the Forest Dwellers's agent but had been twisted by technocultist nanotechnology. Swarms of nanobots chased after the heroes, disintegrating their weapons, while the "captain" pursued them, firing deadly plasma blasts. As Rallick fended off the nanobot assault, Luna managed to destroy the metalloorganic device, weakening the "captain." In the end, Dervish's precise shots brought down the "captain."
With the battle concluded, the heroes found themselves in a severely damaged spaceship, adrift in the cold expanse of space, and rapidly running out of breathable air.
